I went to my first tea party today and I was proud to be apart of a movement that wanted to fight for this country, and get back to the basics. Its too bad that there are too may people out there that seem to think that they diserve special treatment, when all along if they really read what our founding fathers faught for….we all should be getting the same treatment peiod. Right now, we the people are not paying attention to whats really going on, and what it appears to me is another one of those smoke and mirrors effects to get us all to divide us further and further from one another when we shoud be working together. I have voiced over and over agian to get people of the gay community to understand there are bigger issues going on in this country then to worry about so called “Gay Rights” are there some things that could be fixed.sure. I end up being the “Ugly Duckling” if you will. and I am not apart of any special group that goes through and thinks “We” should be getting special treatment. I am a gay woman who is fed up with our gov. I would just like to say (as I don’t normaly do this) However lately I have been having to do this…. Labeling someone as racist simply because you dislike their views isn’t just inaccurate, it’s immoral. It’s time the liberal, socialists quit going after low hanging fruit in their attempts to gain advantage. Is the picture below anti-white because the guy in the picture is white? OF COURSE NOT! Then they have the nerve to declare this picture as racist because the hand holding the knife is black! Well, if the president is black and you view him as killing liberty, then yeah, you’re going to have a black hand! After all, who’s going to listen to racists and homophobes?
People are sick, sick, sick of this double standard and worse of all they’re sick of being given a negative label just because they disagree! This is about as bad as someone crying rape when they clearly know, no one was raped! It unjustly gives a negative stigma to someone. How about this gay pride flag at a gay pride parade? Do we have a case of a heterophobic flag and parade? Seriously? So it’s homophobic to have a tongue in cheek shirt that says “Straight Pride”? Does that mean this shirt is heterophobic? Certainly, Tea Party folk have a right to express their opinions, but homophobia and racism should not be tolerated, least of all by our elected officials.” “The day was hi-lighted by stark black and white ’straight pride’ shirts, calls to impeach Obama, a poster with a black hand holding a knife stabbing the Statue of Liberty. “It is clear from events at the April 10 Tea Party Express rally on our capitol steps in Lansing that homophobia and racism are alive and well in Michigan,” said Marilyn Vogler, Instead of engaging their opponents, they just stick them with negative, unjustifiable labels like racist and homophobic.

No matter where in the city you find yourself, you’re never too far from people in full mesh, studs in suits, drag queens and kings, club kids, and leather daddies.
